Free and open to the public except for the Toledo Symphony concert on January 24, 2010 and the Joaquin Achúcarro concert on April 25, 2010.

A Toledo Tradition! TSO Music Director Stefan Sanderling leads the orchestra in Bruckner's Fifth Symphony in the stunning acoustic of Rosary Cathedral. Tickets are required and can be purchased from the TSO Box Office, 419-246-8000.

"Quelque Chose"
Rico McNeela, violin; Robert Garcia, horn; and Greg Kostraba, piano

Quelque Chose is "something" distinctive - an ensemble dedicated to performing familiar works for violin, horn, and piano, exploring the unfamiliar by-ways of the repertoire, and presenting arrangements of music by American composers. Quelque Chose weaves "their distinctive sounds to create a shimmering musical fabric." (Toledo Blade)

Christoff Keggenhoph, organist

Christoph Keggenhoph is Domkantor of the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Speyer, Germany, a position he has occupied since 1991, Mr. Keggenhoff is also conductor of the Schola Cantorum Saliensis, which he founded, and he has performed organ concerts throughout Europe and in the United States.

Tenebrae

The cathedral choir sings from the triforium choir loft for this somber and reflective service of Holy Week. Traditional Latin motets of Palestrina, Victoria, and Ingegneri, psalmody and the Lamentations of Jeremiah are sung as the lights are gradually extinguished, symbolizing the temporary triumph of the prince of darkness over the Light of the World.

Sunday, April 25 - 3:00 p.m.
Joaquín Achúcarro, concert pianist

"Pianist Achúcarro plays pure magic." This internationally renowned pianist will present a special solo recital in Rosary Cathedral as part of the Diocesan Centenary Celebration. "With a dazzling technique and an exquisite poetical sensitivity Achúcarro mesmerized the public." this concert is co-sponsored by the Association of Two Toledos. Tickets: $10.00 donation at the door.
